The Book People’s group buying and merchandising director Sarah Walden has been appointed to the company’s board. The development is said to reflect the “considerable contribution” she has made to the business.
Walden joins Simon Mason, Ajay Patel, Scott Scott and representatives from parent company Endless in taking part all decisions over the future strategic and financial plans for the company.
William Wellesley, c.e.o at The Book People, said: “I am delighted to announce that with immediate effect Sarah Walden, group buying and merchandising director, has been appointed to the group board of Book People. Together with myself, Simon Mason, Ajay Patel, Scott Scott and the Endless representatives she will be involved in all decisions over the future strategic and financial plans for the business. This promotion is a reflection of the very considerable contribution she has made since her return to the business.”
Walden added: "Since returning to Book People 18 months ago, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with some extremely energetic and passionate people determined to ensure the business grows. I am delighted with this appointment and am very much looking forward to helping William and the rest of the senior management team deliver the success we have planned over the coming years.”
