HarperCollins Children’s has signed a six-book deal with Sarah Lean, the author of A Dog Called Homeless.
Publishing and creative director Rachel Denwood acquired world rights to six titles - four books in a 7+ series and two standalone 9+ novels - from Julia Churchill at AM Heath.
The 7+ series is entitled Tiger Days and is about Tiger, her grandmother and the animals they need to rescue along the way. The first book will be published in May 2016.
The first 9+ novel, The Last Snow Leopard, is about a girl who travels to Bhutan with her family to find a snow leopard. It will be released in July 2016.
Denwood said: "I am thrilled to have signed this major new deal for Sarah Lean's next six books. We are very ambitious for Sarah, and I am particularly delighted that alongside her stunning novels, we will be building Sarah in the young fiction market, where there is a need for more truly outstanding and engaging stories."
