Sainsbury’s has secured a deal to sell the first Now That’s What I Call Music Book exclusively through its stores.
The title is published by Simon & Schuster and based on the Now That’s What I Call Music compilation albums, which were first launched in 1983 by music label EMI and have gone on to sell over 100m copies worldwide.
The 240-page full colour book will chart the history of the albums and include infographics and an exclusive interview with Richard Branson reflecting on the birth of the brand.
It will also include complete sleeve images and track listings for all 88 editions, alongside “informative and irreverent stats for each volume.”
The book will be released on 23rd October for the Christmas season and will be sold exclusively through Sainsbury’s stores for £5.
