Royal Mail launches e-commerce tool

<p>The Royal Mail has launched an e-commerce fulfillment tool, aimed at helping e-tailers manage their back office logistics. </p><p>The E-commerce Engine is aimed at store-based, online and multi-channel retailers with a turnover of more than &pound;500,000. It has been designed to help with sales orders, inventory and stock control, pricing by channel and returns and refund processing, among other aspects of the job.&nbsp; </p><p>Dan Hewett, head of small business goods fulfilment at Royal Mail, said: &quot;Opportunities in the online retail market continue to increase as the range of sales channels expands and many businesses either don&rsquo;t have the time or expertise to take advantage of them in a cost effective way.</p><p>&quot;The Royal Mail E-commerce Engine has been developed to give small and medium sized companies the capability to open and exploit new online sales channels efficiently, while ensuring excellent customer service remains at the core of their business.</p><p>&quot;Managing stock, payment, logistics and returns across different sales channels is a challenging and complex task, but this tool helps them do that effectively.&quot; </p>
