Ronan to front BBC's "My Story"

<p>Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, &quot;The One Show&quot; presenter Christine Bleakley and BBC News reader George Alagiah have been revealed as three of the five presenters for the BBC&#39;s &quot;My Story&quot; true life competition.<br /><br />Each presenter will front one episode of the five-week show, with two more to be confirmed. Fifteen entrants&#39; true life stories will feature in the series, to be judged by a literary panel. Five will have their stories, written with the aid of a ghost-writer, published by HarperCollins imprint HarperTrue.</p><p>The BBC1 show begins in early 2010, with entrants submitted via the <a href="" title="mystory">My Story website </a>or by post. The deadline for applicants is 16th December.<br /><br />The move follows a rush of celebrities fronting literary contests including singer Will Young judging the BBC&#39;s <a href="../news/81087-will-young-to-judge-story-competition.html" target="_blank">National Short Story Award</a> and comedian Bill Bailey judging <a href="../news/102311-faber-and-orchard-victorious-at-dahls-funny-prize.html" target="_blank">the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. </a>Actress and author of <em>That&#39;s Another Story</em> Julie Walters also launched Orion/ITV1&#39;s The People&#39;s Author competition, which announced its <a href="../news/103784-hodgkinson-wins-titchmarsh-contest.html" target="_blank">winner on Monday</a>.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
