Constable is to publish former footballer Robbie Savage’s I’ll Tell You What…
Publishing director Andreas Campomar bought world rights to the book from Tim Bates at Pollinger Ltd.
In the book Savage will "reveal all, from the highs and lows of life as a Premier League footballer to his views on managers and referees".
During his 18 years as a professional footballer, Savage made 346 Premier League appearances, won a League Cup winners medal, captained all four of his clubs and won 39 international caps.
He retired in 2011 and regularly appears on radio and television to give his insights into the game.
Campomar said: “Love him or hate him, you can’t ignore Robbie Savage. He is one of the country’s most forthright and able football commentators, unafraid to tell it how it is. Nothing in this book is sugar-coated: the way football punditry should be. Robbie’s book is sure to create debate.”
Savage said: “I'm absolutely made up to be releasing a new book especially since I was given a completely free reign. I may be well known for having strong opinions but I've also experienced a lot in my life in football and so the opportunity to share some of these experiences and tell it how it is was just too good to miss.”
Savage has previously written Savage!: The Robbie Savage Autobiography, with Janine Self, published by Mainstream Publishing.
I’ll Tell You What… will be published on October 8th.
