Roald Dahl Story Company revenues grow 7.5% thanks to screen deals

The Roald Dahl Story Company achieved revenue growth of 7.5% in 2019 thanks to growth in film, publishing and stage income. 

The company, which manages the rights to Dahl’s characters and stories, posted revenues of £25.8m for the year ending 31st December 2019, up from £24m in 2018 and 3.8% ahead of what was budgeted for the year. The firm has entered into the sale of animation rights of certain books within the Roald Dahl portfolio, said a report on Companies House, referencing a deal struck with Netflix in 2018.
