Naomi Bacon, digital communications manager, is leaving Pan Macmillan after three and a half years to embark on "a new adventure", including different projects, spanning freelance marketing and PR, social media and project management.
Bacon, who was named as a Bookseller "Rising Star" in 2015, started out as a digital publicist, after moving into the industry from agency Think Jam, and went on to become digital communications manager. In this role she focused on YouTube strategy, managing content partnerships with brands such as Topshop, ASOS and White Company, and provided digital support on select campaigns.
"I decided to leave to pursue my own projects, not necessarily just in publishing," Bacon told The Bookseller. "I want a new adventure that's going to demand that I use multiple skillsets. I'm doing freelance marketing, PR and social media, as well as providing strategy consultancy and project management. I'm also running social media training and a public speaking course."
