Three former Unbound employees have launched a new publishing agency, Tiger Team Creative signing up Sunday Times-bestselling author Melanie Blake as its first client.
Rina Gill worked at the crowdfunding publisher as director of communications – she resigned in May along with marketing manager Divia Kainth and head of rights Ilona Chavasse, two months after the crowdfunding publisher went into administration.
Now they are co-founders of Tiger Team Creative, a new publishing agency for authors and publishers, which builds on their combined four decades of in-house experience. They “have worked on hundreds of books – spanning publicity, marketing, rights, sales and editorial – from launching debuts to achieving chart-topping bestsellers”, the agency said.
Gill is a Nibbie award-winning publicist, Chavasse is both a rights agent and award-winning translator, while Kainth brings insights as a LBF Trailblazer Award-shortlisted sales and marketing specialist.
The company said: “Tiger Team Creative offers bespoke services for independent authors and publishers, including sales representation, distribution and e-commerce solutions, PR, events, marketing and metadata optimisation, editorial and content development, rights and licensing, and bespoke consultancy packages for authors preparing to self-publish or looking to supercharge their current titles. The team includes a network of trusted associates to provide support with cover design, printing solutions, digital publishing and digital advertising.”
The agency described its first client, Blake, as a “self-made media powerhouse”: a former agent to some of the UK’s biggest soap stars and music talent for 25 years, and two-time Sunday Times and globally bestselling author who was dubbed by the newspaper “the new queen of the bonkbuster”. Her fourth book, Vengeful Women, is forthcoming in a limited edition hardback with sprayed edges on 6th November 2025 by her new company, Piranha Publishing.

Tiger Team Creative said: “The agency was born from our passion for high-performing, cross-functional collaboration – the kind that powers great campaigns. Collective energy is the backbone of trade success – when the right people work in ’sync’, real momentum builds. We wanted to capture that magic – outside traditional structures, but with the same drive and connection and with the same trusted friends and colleagues.
“Inspired by the military concept of a ‘tiger team’ – a nimble specialist unit brought together to work with speed, creativity and precision – we’re a female-led team that’s fierce, fun and focused. That’s why we’re thrilled to be working with Melanie Blake as our first client.”
They said of the diminished media terrain: “The media landscape has changed irreversibly. There are no more PR silver bullets and even the best campaigns don’t always result in top sales. Real success happens when every element works together in a totally integrated way. That’s what we do – with insight, agility, energy and a deep shorthand that comes from our experience as former colleagues and our shared values.”
