Rider Books has acquired a new title from Booker Prize winning novelist Ben Okri. Judith Kendra, publishing director for Rider Books, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Jessica Woollard at The Marsh Agency.
A Time For New Dreams will be published under the Ebury imprint in spring 2011. The title will be a collection of poetic essays on a range of topics from childhood to London and Africa, writing and art.
Rider Books has previously published two titles by Okri: Starbook in 2007, his first novel in five years, and Tales of Freedom in 2009, a collection including a novella and short stories. Okri won the Booker Prize in 1991 for his novel The Famished Road (Jonathan Cape).
