Rick Edwards youth politics book to S&S

Simon & Schuster has signed a book on politics and young people by TV presenter Rick Edwards.

Commissioning editor Abigail Bergstrom pre-empted UK and Commonwealth rights in None of the Above, in a deal with Caroline Ridley at Money Management.

Edwards has hosted a special young person's "Question Time", debate show "Free Speech", along with numerous documentaries, and represents the Swing the Vote campaign. He will use the book to explain why young people should vote and influence the political process.

Bergstrom said: "I was struck by the passion and the creative ways in which Rick is taking action and galvanising young people to vote. This will be an important book, an intelligent and witty call to arms to awaken the power of the dormant youth vote."

Edwards added: "I’m hopelessly optimistic, so I’m confident that every 18-24-year-old in the country will read this book – twice - and then vote on 7th May."

The book will be released as a £7.99 paperback on 12th March 2015.
