Random House Children's Publishers has signed a new deal with writer and BBC radio presenter Simon Mayo, with senior editor Ben Horslen buying world rights in three new titles.
Horslen signed the deal with Sam Copeland at Rogers, Coleridge and White. Mayo's first children's book, Itch, was published earlier this year, and is released as a Corgi Children's paperback on 25th October. The second book in the series, which features 14-year-old element hunter Itchingham Lofte, Itch Rocks, will be published in March 2013.
Horslen said: "I'm thrilled that Simon will be continuing his writing career at Random House. Not only is he a children's author of genuine talent but he is passionate about getting out on tour to meet his growing legion of fans. By the end of the year Simon will have visited 25 schools and taken part in seven festivals. He is a future star of the RHCP list."
