The shortlists for the Red House Children’s Book Award 2008 were unveiled today in Hackney. The award is the only national children’s book award voted for entirely by children.
The winner will be announced at the Guardian Hay Festival on 30th May. Children can vote for their favourite books via the RHCBA website at http://www.rhcba.co.uk" target="_blank" title="www.rhcba.co.uk">www.rhcba.co.uk">www.rhcba.co.uk, with voting to close on the 12th May.
