Readers design new LP covers

<p>Four new editions of Lonely Planet Encounter guides will feature travel photos submitted by readers. <br />The publisher is running a competition in conjunction with to give readers the chance to submit images for the updated London, Paris, Barcelona and Istanbul guides, all out in March 2009.</p><p>The competition, which will run from 1st August to 8th September <a href="" target="_blank">on</a>, will look for images taken from a street perspective, which include people and make the viewer feel like they are actually there. Each of the winners will also receive a free trip to India, Morocco or Kenya from Intrepid Travel. </p><p>Tom Hall at Lonely Planet said: &quot;Travellers have been sharing their holiday photos with us since Lonely Planet began but we&#39;ve never really been able to show our appreciation until now. This competition gives them the opportunity to team up with Lonely Planet and get them showcased on the front of our guidebooks.&quot;<br /><br /></p>
