Rankin's House knocks Pinch of Nom off top spot

Ian Rankin’s In a House of Lies (Orion) has defeated eight-week number one Pinch of Nom (Bluebird), soaring 38% in volume week on week to secure the crime author’s eighth overall week in the Official Top 50 number one spot. The 23rd John Rebus title (including 2015 short story collection The Beat Goes On) sold 27,168 copies in its first full week on sale, Rankin’s biggest single week in volume terms since summer 2013, and a mammoth 37% up on the first full week of its Rebus predecessor in paperback, Rather Be the Devil, in 2017.
