Random House Audio is teaming up with audiobook company AudioGO for a new audiobook list.
The deal is in addition to both business' audiobook lists across physical and digital. Both businesses will continue to bid separately for rights. Around 70 titles per year will be released through the new list. Hundreds of existing recordings, titles to be confirmed, will be made available for the first time as digital downloads as part of the arrangement. A selected range of books will also be sold as physical products.
Zoe Willis, editorial director for Random House Audio, said: "As a destination publisher, Random House wants to be able to serve our authors in all available markets and formats. We have seen rapid growth in the audio download market and this partnership will help us make more titles available across all outlets."
