Random House launches creative writing course

Random House Enterprises is to launch its first interactive online creative writing course.

The 10-week Creative Writing for Beginners course will start on 31st March, which will cost participants £499, will include videos, podcasts and texts from Random House authors and editors, including Audrey Niffenegger, S J Watson and Julie Myerson.

Random House Enterprises said the course, led by author Henry Sutton, who is co-director of the MA in Prose Fiction at the University of East Anglia, will allow “students to interact directly with published Random House authors at three separate junctures”.

Participants will be given individual feedback and support from tutors and will be able to interact with their peers within a secure online forum designed and managed by the Interactive Design Institute, which has been delivering UK qualifications in art and design online since 2005.

Random House Enterprises, launched in 2012, is dedicated to using the publisher’s current IP and content to create product through licensing and merchandising as well as TV programmes, gaming and live events. It also works across children’s and adult IP as well as developing its own specific projects.
