Random House UK has joined Bloomsbury's Public Library Online, with titles available on the service from today (21st August).
Digital bookshelves from Jacqueline Wilson, Joanna Trollope, Katie Fforde, Lee Child and P G Wodehouse are Random House's first offerings through the scheme, which makes books available to library members online via participating libraries' websites rather than by download.
Random House UK deputy c.e.o. Ian Hudson said: "Libraries play a hugely important role in encouraging people to engage with books and reading and we are delighted to have joined the Public Library Online which provides a means of trialling digital reading amongst their members."
Public Library Online launched in June 2009 and now includes digital bookshelves from publishers including Canongate, Faber, Macmillan, Oneworld, Quercus and Alma, as well as Bloomsbury's own publishing.
