Radical south coast co-op to expand

<p>October Books, the Southampton-based radical bookseller, is to double in size and move to new premises. The move will enable the 25-year-old shop, which specialises in left-wing politics, race, gender and sexuality titles, to branch out into mainstream stockholding.</p><p>In addition to its core stock, the new 1,000 sq ft shop at Portswood Road--owned and run by a 12-strong workers' collective--will carry a range of new and general fiction.</p><p>Ian Lamming, one of the shop's founders, said the market for radical titles had diminished as areas such as gay and black-interest literature h...
