Quercus has been named PLUS Company of the Year at the junior stock market's annual awards dinner.
The publisher listed on the PLUS stock exchange in 2006, and its shares have nearly tripled in value over the past 12 months. Its market capitalisation is now approaching £30m.
Quercus co-founder and c.e.o. Mark Smith said: "We've been a listed company for nearly five years now, and I feel that winning this award shows that we're no longer a corporate toddler," promising: "For Quercus, the best is yet to come."
The award was made at a ceremony at the headquarters of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) on 12th May.
