Sainsbury's is working with Quercus to offer a print and e-book bundle on Dorothy Koomson's The Flavours of Love.
From 21st November, customers will be able to buy the hardback in store for £6.99, and then download the e-book version for free from the supermarket's e-book platform, eBooks by Sainsbury's. The supermarket said the offer will be "heavily" promoted throughout the 480 stores where it will be available with stickers and advertising.
Tim Lennox, m.d. of eBooks by Sainsbury's, said: "We feel that print and digital bundles of this kind are extremely alluring to people, many of whom read both hard and digital copies of their books."
He added that he hoped Sainsbury's and Quercus would work together to explore more bundling deals in future.
Quercus c.e.o. Mark Smith said: "Dorothy Koomson is one of the most popular and exciting authors we publish and we wanted to look at new and innovative ways to get her eagerly awaited new novel into readers’ hands. E-book bundling offers consumers a choice in the way they enjoy content."
