Quadrille has acquired blogger and Instagrammer Charlie Watson’s cookbook, Cook, Eat, Run.
Publishing director Sarah Lavelle acquired world rights from Sallyanne Sweeney at Mulcahy Associates. Cook, Eat, Run will be published by Quadrille as a paperback in December 2019 at £15.
Watson aka @therunnerbeans is a popular blogger and Instagrammer, with more than 50,000 follwers, is a student dietitian and ex-deputy cookery editor at Good Housekeeping magazine.
Cook, Eat, Run offers a "no-nonsense approach to seizing control of your fitness regime, from filling breakfasts and high-protein snacks to post-run energy fixes and speedy suppers. It also features guest recipes from elite runners including Sara Hall, Kara Goucher and Molly Huddle", said Quadrille.
Lavelle said: “There are few attractive cookbooks around running and nutrition, despite the fact that more people in the UK are pounding the streets than ever before. Charlie’s experience in recipe development and dietetics is the perfect combination – and if she can inspire ME to reach 10K then she can help anyone, frankly.”
Watson added: “I’m excited to share simple, tasty recipes made with ‘real food’ ingredients you can pronounce! I’m hoping that these recipes show that you don’t have to cut out chocolate or butter, and that fuelling your body to enable you to run (and recover!) doesn’t have to be overly complicated.”
