Quadrille has acquired two new titles, with one tying-in to Channel 4 design series "Amazing Spaces", and the other a cookery title from new Brazilian barbecue restaurant, Cabana.
Publishing director Jane O'Shea bought world rights in the "Amazing Spaces" tie-in from Amanda Preston at Luigi Bonomi Associates on behalf of Plum Pictures and its author, George Clarke.
The book will be published on 10th October as a £20 hardback to coincide with the second series of the Channel 4 show, which shows how to turn tiny spaces into "incredible places to live, work and play". It will include examples from the series, as well as new materials, artwork, detailed plans and before and after photography. Clarke is an architect, writer, lecturer and TV presenter, and creative director of George Clarke + Partners.
Meanwhile, O'Shea has also bought world rights in Cabana: New Flavours of Brasil by David Ponte, Lizzy Barber and Jamie Barber, with plans to publish the cookbook on 22nd May next year as a £20 hardback.
The restaurant is currently open in three locations in London, and is owned and run by the book's authors.
O'Shea signed the deal with Martine Carter at Sauce Management, with the book to include recipes for the chain's bestselling dishes including Pulled Pork Sliders, Barbecued Bass in Banana Leaves and Spicy Malagueta Chicken.
O'Shea said: "2014 will be a celebration of all things Brazilian and this colourful book, full of Brazilian flavours, will set the scene."
