Quadrille acquires Belle and Boo craft book

Quadrille Publishing has acquired The Belle and Boo Book of Craft, a project book inspired by the work of illustrator Mandy Sutcliffe for the children's lifestyle brand, Belle & Boo.

Commissioning editor Lisa Pendreigh bought world rights from Kate Shafe, director and co-founder of Belle & Boo, located in Bristol. Quadrille plans to publish as a £14.99 paperback on 4th July.

The book contains 25 innovative projects for parents to make for their children, including soft toys, play spaces and homewares. The projects use techniques from sewing and embroidery to crochet and papercraft.

Pendreigh said: "The Belle & Boo characters and illustrations are wonderfully heartwarming, appealing to both parents and children alike. With this collection of truly special handcrafted children's projects, you too can now enter the world of Belle and Boo and bring its unique qualities of warmth, innocence and adventure to your own family life."

Meanwhile, Hachette Children's imprint Orchard Books is continuing its publication programme for Belle and Boo, with two activity books planned for August release, and Belle and Boo and the Very Merry Christmas to be released in November.
