Puffin Post is to be discontinued in the new year after Penguin brought the brand back in house.
The consumer magazine will no longer be available, although this does not affect the Puffin Book Club, which is distributed via schools. Both were bought by The Book People in 2007 when Penguin sold its direct sales company, Index. Penguin announced in November that it had bought them back.
Penguin and The Book People told Puffin Post subscribers: “Thank you for all your support and apologies for any disappointment the closure of Puffin Post may cause.”
Francesco Dow, m.d. for Penguin Children’s, has said the Puffin Book Club will be relaunched with a new look in spring 2013.
