Publishing is getting a starring role at London’s Design Museum this week while its galleries are closed for the installation of new projects.
A series of free events are running at the Thames-side institution, with books taking centre stage.
Today (16th July), the museum plays host to Independent Publishing Day, with talks from industry experts about the future of the book market, and writers sharing examples of their work.
Tomorrow will feature a display of traditional and contemporary book-making, while Wednesday will see the museum launch their own design book club.
On Thursday Julius Wiedemann, Taschen design editor, will be among those discussing the future of publishing.
Events continue until Monday 23rd, when the museum unveils a new, sports-inspired exhibition Designed to Win.
