Publishers expect bounce from England's Cricket World Cup victory

Publishers are expecting a bounce in cricket books and sales following England’s dramatic victory in Sunday’s World Cup final.

England inched past New Zealand to secure their first ever World Cup in a nail-biting contest on Sunday (14th July) which saw both sides reach 241 runs before an additional “super over”. With both sides grabbing 15 more runs, the winner was decided on who scored more boundary fours and sixes during the match.

Publishers are now hoping the wild celebrations which greeted England’s win will translate into extra interest in the sport and an upsurge in cricket-themed ...
