Publishers challenge Bertrams on library supply

<p>Four unnamed publishers are understood to have threatened the Bertram Group with sanctions, in a bid to prevent wholesale discounts from leaking into the public library sector. The wholesaler and library supplier angered publishers in February when it told them it planned to draw more stock for its library supply division--Bertram Library Services--from its trade arm Bertram Books, sidestepping publishers' hold on advantageous library supply terms.
