Publishers blast WHS over book promotions

<p>Publishers have hit out at W H Smith's slow stock replenishment and inconsistent stickering of promoted books. They claim that "dire" store-level problems are confusing consumers and squandering the benefits of the retailer's mammoth pre-Christmas campaign.</p><p>WHS has been running prominent television and print advertising since mid-October.
