Simon & Schuster has promoted two members of its UK sales team, Laura Hough and Dominic Brendon.
Hough, previously UK sales director, becomes UK sales and brand director, Children’s. She will be responsible for strategic brand planning for the S&S Children’s list in addition to having overall responsibility for UK sales of Children’s books.
Brendon, prevously sales director for Bookshops, Digital and Online at Simon and Schuster, has been promoted to UK sales director, Adult. In this new role he takes on responsibility for physical sales of the Adult list to mass market accounts whilst still retaining leadership of the bookshop, online, e-book and audio sales teams.
Group sales director Gill Richardson said: "I am delighted for both Laura and Dom, and believe the new sales structure sets us up perfectly for growth not only across all areas of the S&S list but also for our valued client publishers."
