Prince's Trust winner signs with Sphere

Little,Brown has bought for the revived Sphere list Wasted by Mark Johnson, winner of The Prince's Trust Young Achiever of the Year 2005.

Brought up in a violent home, Johnson began stealing at seven years old and drinking at eight, and first took heroine at 11. He now helps other recovering addicts, and with the help of his advance plans to start a charity for the homeless and addicted.

Ursula Mackenzie, publisher and c.e.o. of L,B, bought world rights in Wasted through Mark Lucas at LAW. "Mark's message is truly inspiring," she says. Sphere will publish in hardback in spring 2007.
