PRH to reprint Victoria Wood biography

Penguin Random House UK has said it intends to reprint its 2003 unauthorised biography of Victoria Wood following the death of the comedian, singer and writer yesterday (20th April) from cancer, aged 62.

Victoria Wood: The Biography by Neil Brandwood, published by Ebury Publishing imprint Virgin Books, charts Woods' "rise to stardom", including "her early years in Lancashire to the successes of the sell-out shows at the Royal Albert Hall".

A spokesperson for Virgin Books, part of Penguin Random House UK, said: "Like everyone, we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Victoria Wood’s death. We have an unauthorised biography on our backlist which we will be reprinting."

The size of the printrun has not been confirmed.
