Penguin Random House has made promotions in its distribution and operations departments.
Deborah Wright has been promoted to the role of group operations director, Penguin Random House UK, adding overall responsibility for the distribution business to her current remit of integration and technology.
Mark Williams, m.d. of Penguin Random House UK Distribution, who formerly reported to Brian Davies, who leaves at the end of this month, will now report to Wright.
Wright, who has previously overseen distribution for both DK and Penguin, “will work closely with Williams and the distribution executive team to continue delivery of the best distribution solutions for both Penguin Random House and its client publishers”.
Graham Buckel is promoted to the role of finance and operations director, international (English language). In addition to his finance role, he will work closely Penguin Random House’s International Group Companies’ leadership teams on operational matters.
He will continue to deputise for c.f.o. Mark Gardiner.
