Port Eliot Festival to end this year

Organisers have announced this month’s Port Eliot festival will be the last for the foreseeable future because it is no longer financially viable.

The event has been held annually in Cornwall since 2003, featuring a line-up of big-name writers, musicians and comedians. This year’s festival runs from 25th to 28th July and features appearances from Max Porter, Emily Maitlis, Simon Armitage, Kerry Hudson and a host of others.

But yesterday (Wednesday 10th July) the festival announced it was coming to an end, although it “may return one day”.
