On Tuesday 30th October, the team at Bonnier Zaffre celebrated the release of the film adaptation of Lynda La Plante’s Widows, with a VIP screening at Twentieth Century Fox in London.


The Indigo Press celebrated its first birthday and the launch of Sulaiman Addonia’s Silence is My Mother Tongue at Vout-O-Reenees on Thursday 25th October. Jacqueline Riding right celebrated the launch of Peterloo (Head of Zeus) at Hatchards in London on Wednesday 24th October. Riding was joined by director Mike Leigh, whose film "Peterloo" is released today (2nd November).


Around 20 bookshops have partnered with Granta, author Rose George right and the NHS to support the #ShareAPint campaign and encourage the public to give blood.


Bloomsbury Chapter held an academic conference and public lecture at Senate House on Monday 22nd October to celebrate Macmillan’s 175th anniversary. Guests included L-R Anthony Forbes Watson, Don Paterson OBE and Sara Lloyd.
