PRH Children’s hosted a sleepover on Thursday 24th May at the Principal Hotel, to celebrate their Puffin Picture Book list. The authors in attendance included L-R Lauren Beard, Abie Longstaff, Michael Whaite, Lauren O’Hara, Steven Butler, Nadia Shireen, Sophy Henn, Natalia O’Hara and Ed Vere.


Sir David Attenborough opened the 61st ABA Rare Book Fair, at its new home in Battersea Park, on Thursday 24th May.


Marion Deuchars centre and the team at Laurence King Publishing dressed in blue on Tuesday 22nd May to celebrate the publication of Bob’s Blue Period.


On Tuesday 22nd May, Meg Rosoff left visited London bookshops with her dogs to sign stock of latest title McTavish Goes Wild (Barrington Stoke). Rosoff is pictured outside Queen’s Park Books with Bounce’s Louise Corcoran.


Olga Tokarczuk left won the £50,000 Man Booker International Prize for Flights (Fitzcarraldo Editions), translated by Jennifer Croft right. The ceremony took place on Monday 21st May.


Natasha Devon left celebrated the launch of A Beginner’s Guide to Being Mental (Bluebird) at Bookmarks Bookshop in Bloomsbury on Thursday 17th May. Devon was joined by MHFA c.e.o. Poppy Jaman.


Quercus’ 2018 showcase took place at The Postal Museum on Thursday 17th May. Guests included L-R James Buchan, author of John Law, and Maclehose Press’ Paul Engles.
