Picador has promoted Gillian Fitzgerald-Kelly to commissioning editor at the Pan Mac imprint.
Fitzgerald-Kelly, currently editor, joined Picador in 2016 and has worked with many of its biggest authors, including Adam Kay, A J Pearce, Cathy Rentzenbrink and Oliver Sacks’ extensive backlist.
In her new role, she will increasingly focus on commissioning fiction and non-fiction for Picador, with an additional responsibility for seeking out the best contemporary Irish writing.
Publisher Philip Gwyn Jones said: “Gill is an enterprising, articulate, thoughtful and dedicated editor, who now has the opportunity to do even more notable and impactful publishing in her new expanded role. She puts authors, agents and colleagues alike in a better mood by her wry, astute and succinct interventions. And all of us at Picador looking forward to her playing a central part in our future success.”
