Little, Brown imprint Piatkus will publish Jennifer Weiner’s first fiction novel in four years, later this year.
The In Her Shoes author will return to fiction with Mrs Everything after Anna Boatman, publisher at PCR Fiction, bought UK & Commonwealth rights from Lisa Keim at Atria.
Mrs Everything “tells the unforgettable story of two sisters who, with their different dreams and different paths over three decades, offer answers to the question: How should a woman be in the world?” said the publisher.
Boatman said: “I’ve loved Jennifer Weiner’s writing for years, from the moment I first read In Her Shoes and Good in Bed. I’m honoured to be publishing this thought-provoking, timely and engaging novel by one of America’s most beloved storytellers.”
Weiner, whose bestselling debut, 2001’s Good in Bed, has sold 61,259 copies, added: “I’m delighted to be published by Piatkus, and I hope readers in the UK will find this story timely and entertaining.”
Weiner's bestselling debut, 2001’s Good in Bed (S&S UK), has sold 61,259 copies and her second novel In Her Shoes (S&S UK) was made into a film in 2005 starring Toni Collette and Cameron Diaz. According to BookScan, Weiner has sold 345,469 books overall.
Mrs Everything will be published in trade in June, and in the UK mass market later this year.
