Emma Beswetherick at Piatkus has acquired world English-language rights in six previously published books by bestselling historical romance writer Claire Lorrimer from Zoe King at Darley Anderson.
Originally published in the 1970s and '80s by Transworld in the UK, Lorrimer has sold about 1.5 million copies of her books globally.
Beswetherick said the characters were as "wilful and passionate as Scarlett O'Hara".
Piatkus will be putting the two trilogies back in print in 2011—the titles are The Chatelaine, The Wilderling and Fool's Curtain, and Mavreen, Tamarisk and Chantal.
