Piatkus has signed a two book deal for two new novels by Scottish author Shari Low. Senior editor, Emma Beswetherick bought UK and Commonwealth rights in the English language from Sheila Crowley at Curtis Brown.
The first book in the deal has a working title of Just One Catch and will be published by Piatkus in May 2010. The second book is currently untitled.
Beswetherick said: "As an author Shari is a born entertainer. She's already a bestseller in Germany and our aim is to expand her readership in the UK. She writes absolutely cracking commercial women's fiction with exceptionally strong female characters."
Shari started her writing career at Piatkus with What If? in 2001 before moving to Avon for her fourth novel. She has now returned to her Piatkus for her seventh title and Beswetherick said that Piatkus hopes to "reinvigorate the 'Shari Low' brand".
