Penguin pays damages over Lebrecht book

<p>Penguin has paid damages and withdrawn music critic Norman Lebrecht&#39;s latest book from sale following legal action from Naxos founder Klaus Heymann, who sued the publisher over Lebrecht&#39;s <em>Maestros, Masterpieces &amp; Madness: The Secret Life and Shameful Death of the Classical Record Industry</em>.</p><p>A spokesperson for the publisher said: &quot;The claim was settled [last week] without any admission of liability on our part.&quot; The paperback of the book is still due next spring, and Penguin said it will<br />include a &quot;small number of agreed upon changes&quot;. </p><p>The book remains on sale in the US, where it is published by Random House division Anchor Books.<br /><br /></p>
