Penguin has launched an online hub for fans of Penguin's top women's fiction brands, enabling readers to communicate directly with authors and offering exclusive content through a branded Facebook page and fortnightly newsletter.
The publisher's women authors, including Jane Fallon and Jojo Moyes will 'takeover' the Facebook page, answering questions directly from readers and taking editorial control. It will feature constantly updated content including video content of interviews and book launches; news; jacket reveals; first access to information on upcoming events and behind-the-scene glimpses.
Michael Joseph managing director Louise Moore said: "We have really listened to our readers and we hope The Book Boutique gives them exactly the kind of online experience they've been asking for-a passionate community of book-lovers, genuinely original content and a unique degree of access to their favourite writers."
