Penguin has acquired film tie-in publishing rights for the "The Peanuts Movie", released in the UK on December 21st later this year.
Emily Campan, licensed publishing executive for Penguin Children's, acquired English language publishing rights in selected territories for the 0-7 years market from Peanuts Worldwide.
"The Peanuts Movie" will be released in 100 countries and is directed by Steve Martino who also directed "Ice Age", with music composed by Christophe Beck, who worked on "Frozen". It will see Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts gang make their big-screen debut in 3D animation, Penguin said.
Penguin will publish under the Puffin imprint in the autumn to coincide with the film’s release date, and the package will also include a sticker activity book and a book of the film.
