Penguin acquires Index and The Book Studio

<p>Penguin has bought direct sales operation Index in a move to re-establish itself in the direct channel. It has also acquired packaging and publishing company The Book Studio.</p><p>Index is owned by its founding m.d., Sir Roger Martin, and he will continue as m.d. of Index reporting to Penguin director, finance and operations, Brian Landers.
