Pearson sales down 14% after third quarter

In its third quarter trading update, Pearson has reported a decline in year-to-date sales of 14%. However the company also reported a strong digital performance with its global online learning segment up 14%.

Reporting for the nine months to 30th September, group sales fell 14% "largely reflecting the continuing impact of Covid-19", the company said, taking into account test centre and school closures affecting its global assessment business (down 19%) and international business (down 24%), as well as expected declines in North American Courseware (down 14%)
