Peakpublish has acquired the memoir of a "passionate" Sheffield Wednesday football fan, entitled I Hate Football.
Publisher Geraldine Rose bought world rights for the memoir by debut author John Firth directly from Firth himself.
The book centres around a group of fans who follow the club from the early '70s up to the present day. It tells of the differing emotions that the fans endure, as well as the frightening and funny incidents that occur along their travels.
Rose said: "It is the autobiography of almost every football fan in the country and we are delighted to be publishing this. It combines the passion of a football fan with a wonderfully nostalgic insight of how the game was."
Firth has supported Sheffield Wednesday for more than four decades, and said it took him two years to write the book. I Hate Football will be published this summer/autumn.
