Little, Brown Book Group division Piatkus Constable Robinson (PCR) has promoted publishers Anna Boatman and Zoe Bohm and hired Gina Luck as PCR brand publisher.
Boatman moves up from publishing director of Piatkus Fiction to publisher of PCR Fiction, in which new role she will oversee Constable Fiction and Piatkus Fiction, as well as continuing to publish her stable of highly successful authors, including JR Ward, Christine Feehan, Charlaine Harris, Sally Thorne and Suzanne Wright. Boatman first joined Piatkus in 2013, and is credited in having "quickly built a reputation as an outstanding commercial fiction editor with a great eye for the market and a flair for finding and growing new authors".
Bohm, currently on parental leave but returning in November, has been promoted to publisher of PCR Non-Fiction, in which role she will oversee Piatkus and Robinson’s non-fiction publishing strategy. Credited as "a publisher of great versatility and creativity", Bohm started at Piatkus as an editorial assistant and moved up the ranks before a brief spell at Penguin Portfolio. In 2015 she returned to L,BBG as publishing director of Piatkus Non-Fiction.
New to the team is Luck who joins as PCR brand publisher from Bonnier Zaffre, where she was brand director for Wilbur Smith and Lynda la Plante, having managed James Patterson at PRH before that. She returns to Little, Brown - where she once worked as brand manager for Stephanie Meyer - to oversee all aspects of Piatkus’s Nora Roberts and JD Robb publishing, and to support the division in building other authors to brand level.
Tim Whiting, publisher of PCR and Little, Brown Non-Fiction, said the changes were part of a long-term plan "to grow and to become a destination for writers" in all areas of its publishing, acknowledging it can to more to enhance its authors' visibility.
"It is fast approaching five years since L,BBG acquired Constable and Robinson and formed PCR. We're enormously proud of everything we have achieved in that time, which has involved building on the unique publishing instincts and skills of both Piatkus and C&R, but we know we can do even more to deliver sales and visibility for our authors," said Whitling. "These new appointments are part of our long-term plan both to grow and to become a destination for writers across the whole range of our publishing, from lifestyle, business and commercial non-fiction to romance, suspense and crime fiction. They will add to what is already a hugely talented editorial team, and I am confident that the vision, creativity and commitment of everyone in it will allow us to continue to shape the market in so many genres."
