Charity partnerships helped Rashford book fuel positive movement, say publishers

Partnering with charities and booksellers helped fuel a positive movement to reach children with the least access to books, the publisher behind Marcus Rashford’s bestseller You Are a Champion, Macmillan Children’s Books, has said.

Encouraging gifting in their marketing messaging also helped, Macmillan added.   

More than 130,000 copies of Champion, and two of Rashford’s selected book club titles, have been donated so far this year thanks to various crowdfunding campaigns, revealed Alison Ruane, communications director at MCB at The Bookseller’s Children’s Conference on 21st September.
