Bath-based Parragon is expanding its Disney franchise, including books based on the Frozen and Disney Princess brands, into North America.
“Parragon has been offering Disney content through their publishing programs in many international territories, but to date our presence in North America has been limited,” said Paul Gregory, president of Parragon Publishing.
“Bringing together Disney’s incredible portfolio… with Parragon’s market-leading product has been tremendously successful in markets like the UK and Australia and we look forward to becoming a major distributor of licensed books in the US,” Gregory said.
In January 2016 Parragon will launch 37 titles in the US across nine series.
Formats include colouring, sticker and activity books and the titles will be arranged according to four price bands; ‘opening price’ ($0.99-$3.99), mid ($3.99-$6.99), high ($7.99-$9.99) and premium (more than $9.99).
The company now sells Disney titles in 35 countries and in January signed a deal with Scandinavia.
