Pan Macmillan is to publish the autobiography of former Formula One driver Mark Webber this autumn.
Webber, who retired from Formula One at the end of the 2013 season, and now races in the LMP1 sportscar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship for Porsche.
The driver was “at the centre of one of the greatest controversies in Formula One in recent years”, said Pan Macmillan, when in 2010, while racing for Red Bull, he and his team mate Sebastian Vettel went head-to-head for the World Championship. He finished third in the championship that year.
“Here, for the first time, Webber tells the inside story of one of Formula One’s most intriguing battles that goes to the heart of why the sport is loved by millions of fans around the world,” said Pan Macmillan.
Webber was also a long-term director of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association, the Formula One drivers' union and advocate for driver and track safety.
The book will be published in September 2015 as the first title on Pan Macmillan’s recently launched sports list.
